Camping in the Coconino National Park was awesome. And it was COLD. Not sure of the actual temp but the vegetation had frost on it in the am. We were snug as bugs. Toasty and warm.
Flagstaff to Santa Monica was a pretty cool ride. We went through the Mojave Desert, Sitsgrave Pass amd some beautiful terrain in California. Drove through the most touristy "Ghost Town" where the wild burros run. And through many a town with great photo ops.
The highlight of the day was meeting up with Lynn and her daughter Maddy for dinner. Santa Monica was crazy busy with a free concert so the streets were filled with an unusually busy hustle and bustle for a Thursday. So great to see Lynn and catch up.
