Day 5 from Albuquerque NM to Flagstaff AZ. The days just keep getting better. After an awsome nights sleep, lunch and a tour of "Old Town" with a Dragon Lee we set off west again.
The views were gorgeous and the drive was smooth from New Mexico into Arizona. We went up and down then up again in elevation as we drove towards Flagstaff.
My excitement grew as we got to town on our way to our sleeping destination for the night. Coconino National Park. We used a gps map of the park road and trail system to find a camp spot where we are allowed to just pull off and camp for free. So cool. I have never done that before. Tj and I set up camp and made grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. Relaxed for a bit in the chilly nights air enjoying a Big Sky IPA before settling down for the night. Snuggle up. Its going to be a cold one.
What a great day!

Eating grilled cheese by lantern light. Way too wet to build a fire. :(
Sunset as we are getting close to Arizona.
Trains, trains and more trains. This one was so long it had 4 engines pulling.
Beautiful rock formations along the road in New Mexico.
Long stretches of road in Arizona.
